24 year-old Bass-Baritone Mats Roolvink is a member of the 2022-2023  International Opera Studio at the Staatstheater Nuremberg.   The Dutch-American young singer of Dutch & Chinese descent comes from a  multi-cultural and multi-lingual background; having lived and studied in Asia, North America and Europe.  
Being equally versatile in Opera, Baroque, Lied and Oratorio, the 2020 Winner of the American Prize in Oratorio and Lied will be making his opera debut this November at the World Premiere of Turing, a production by Staatstheater Nuremberg. Mats came in 4th in the recently completed Season 2 of ARIA, a Dutch  classical singing competition television program with one million viewers per episode.

Turing - World Premiere 


Commissioned by the StaatsTheater Nuremberg, composer Anno Schreier brings British mathematician and World War II code breaker Alan Turing's story alive through opera.  Mats will be making his opera and house debut in Nuremberg Opera as a Policeman in 8 shows starting November 21st 2022.

Mats is looking forward to play the role of Baron Grog in Jacques Offenbach's amusing operetta in 11 shows starting February '23.
